Do you know why your parent gave you your name?

My real name is Gabrielle and my mom gave me that name because it was her grand-mother name. Even if I would have been a boy they would have call me that name.
I'm proud of my name since I knew where it came from because I know my mom loved her grand-mother so much.

I agree to Joyce. Gabrielle, your name is really nice! Well, my name is Aletheia. I don't know but my mom's friend name me for her. She said that my name's in the Bible. It's a greek word and it means 'truth'. I'm really proud of it. It some kinda sounds unique.

Awe that was sweet of your mom to name you after your great grandmother. And what a pretty name it is. My name is Brenda Lee. I use Lee as my middle name and just go by Brenda most of the time. My mom liked country music and one of her favorite singers was BrendaLee so thats what she named me.

I heard that name for the first time this year from a contestant in a reality tv show. I think it,s such a wonderfull name. We don,t here a lot around here since I'm from the french part of canada :P

My real name is Holly, yes I was born near christmas, but that is not why I am named Holly, My mom wanted to name me Hedi or Harry, but a few months before I was born she saw a play and heard the name Holly, so thats how I got my name. It just happend to work out that I was born near christmas!

My big brother, my father and my uncle named my because they like that sound of the name "Razvan".

My name is Frans, my father gave me that name after his young brother which die young in the river.
My father's name is Jan Francois, and so is my grandpa. I want to name my son someday Jan Francois III.

Yes, they say that my name came from a combination of the name of my grandmother and grandfather in my father side. It is a beautiful name and I love it.
