My little guy is sort of a difficult eater. He won't eat potatoes except for french fries and he won't eat hamburgers. But he loves fruit, corn, peas, turkey and chicken, and cheese.

God! This is not a difficult eater! You should thank Godfor that. Many children prefer to eat junk food than healthy food and the result is disastrous. They end up with cholesterol by the age of 10. Thank God for that!

Yeah, my son loves milk and cheese and will eat some yogurts. He drinks a ton of juice, he can't seem to get enough. He drinks water too, I started this rule with him a while ago, after a certian time in the evening he is only allowed to have water, and if I let him drink out of my big blue mug with a straw he seems to think it is even better, not sure why, but it works.

Here in Greece we don't use peanut butter a lot. In fact all pediatricians think peanut butter must be avoided until the age of 5. Did you know that peanut butter can create many allergies and the most important illness for a baby called W.A.P.?

Good for you! You're lucky also! I thought I was the only one that my son can eat even flies if I put them in a plate in front of him.

My kids favorite veggie as a toddler was always broccoli, too. Probably because it is my favorite and I make it for almost every meal, lol.

all my children a fussy eaters we have to cook all diffrent meals every night of the week for all 5 of them, and when they are all sat up the kitchen table all you can hear is them talking and not eating then they moan because their dinner has gone cold.

If he starts talking I take the food in front of him and that is punishment enough. He screams he yells and the plate returns in front of him. He doesn't speak again.

I would never do that. I make one meal and if they don't eat it they go without. Well my oldest two are now old enough, that when they don't like what I make they want to make their own sandwich. They are 6 and 5 and have been making their own peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for about a year now. But with my oldest she will say she hates everything because she would rather have PB&J even if she does like the food I make so I have to tell her no. And she has gone to bed without dinner because she refuses to eat food I know she likes. I also hate the constant talking during dinner. They just sit there and go on and on about stupid stuff and it usually ends in an argument. It is so annoying. You can't even have a conversation with them because they are fighting over whose feet are touching who, etc.

We always ate at the table with our children. They were expected to remain seated until they finished eating to our satisfaction. We helped control the table conversation, but they were allowed to discuss things that interested them. We never had a problem.

Yes, my kids sit when we eat. If they don't stay in their seats I take their food away or they have to go eat alone in the kitchen. Some days they have a harder time staying in their seats because of whatever reason. But for the most part they are well behaved at meal times.

I have one child who will eat anything, and one child who will eat almost nothing. She has about 12 foods that she'll consume. It drives me crazy, although I'm trying to leave the problem to her to handle. I don't make seperate meals for her, so a lot of nights she'll choose to go to bed hungry.

Right to me the 12 kinds of food and I will tell you what to do. You won't prepare anything special for her. Don't worry! If you like send an e-mail. No problem!

my son is 5 and he is picky. He will eat yogurt but only one type. He will only eat certain types of mac and cheese. He doesn't really like white bread- he prefers wheat or whole grain. He won't touch seafood. Usually the only meat he will eat is chicken nuggets. Sometimes hamburgers. He doesn't like fries or mashed potatoes. He will only eat brussel sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower and green beans. My 18 month old, on the other hand will eat just about anything. She will choose healthy over junk food.

New kids really like healthy food more. Of course it depends on mother's nutrition during pregnancy.

My nephew used to be really picky when he used to go out to eat with us when he was younger. I do remember like when he was like 9-10 eating a whole plate of oysters though.

My baby girl is sort of a picky eater. But we always convince her to eat all her food. Like if she eats everything for a whole week we may take her to see a movie to the theater. It works like a charm and it also gives us sometime to spend as a family.

I'm glad that you have found such an easy way to help her and yourself. She will get used to it one day and she will eat no matter what.

My son eats almost everything and he eats all the time. I say to him to warn me if he wants to eat me. He laughs but that is true. The only "thing" he hasn't eaten yet is me. And he is not fat. Slim I would say he is!
