this is the first pre-article preface in this discussion. this article is about the time period and the beginning of the neoclassicism movement in art and literature. time period of neoclassicism can be classified into two groups, earlier part of the seventeenth century and later part of the eighteenth century. neoclassicism in literature is also known as the age of reason. during this period most of the classics and philosophical work of the great philosophers were translated. it is also known as age of social reform in literature and its concern for social reality. giorgio valla translated Aristotle's poetics before the beginning of this era. john dryden translated most of the classics and is famous for his aeneid.
