Why are the simpsond yellow?? Whats your opinion???

I think it is funny that the simpsons are yellow, and to tell you the truth I don't know why they are.... What do you think??

About having 4 fingers... ... did you see the episode where they get a fancy remote? I quote homer "you'd need 5 fingers to use one of these!" HAHA HAppy Posting =9

way back in the day when The Simpson's shows were being shown on the Tracy Ullman show, they were limited to the amounts of colours that they could use. Yellow was used for the skin colour as it was the closest to natural skin tones of Caucasians, without using pure white.

Matt Groening (creator of The Simpsons) decided to make The Simpsons yellow because it was different, bright and "it looks like there's something wrong with your television set." So now you know.

I think it's an indirect homage to Jim Henson's muppets. I don't know, maybe not. But possible.

well, to be honest i never thought of that. maybe its just because all cartoons have weird colored people. that or its hard to put alot of detail into skin color
