How Green/Environmentally Friendly Are You Without Even Realizing It?

I was just wondering how many people out there are being "green" without even knowing that is what they are doing? I was reading about the state of our planet and then went online to post some stuff to freecycle. All of a sudden I realized that I am "green". I reuse almost all my containers that stuff comes in, I recycle as much as possible and freecycle things I don't want or no longer need and I come up with new ways to use stuff. I didn't even know I was being environmentally friendly at first. I just thought I was being frugal. Anyhoo. I was just wondering if anyone else has any ideas on how to reuse stuff or find new uses for things. Or if other people out there "make over" things in their homes. Like I had a baby quilt that my son outgrew but he still loves it so I made it into a big pillow for him. Or when my old sweater finally gave up the ghost, I felted it and made it into a christmas stocking. I made over an old bridesmaid dress into a prom dress for a girl down the street. Things like that, where you could have just dumped it or given it away, but instead found a new use for it. Any thoughts on the matter?
