How many of you actually use parental controls?

We all know that the internet and what's on TV may not neccessarily be what we want our kids filling their heads with. We also see parental control software packages online, commercials, magazine ads. Some are free some are not free, but there is unlimited access to tools to restrict your childs access to certain sites and cetain types of content online and on tv. My question is do you use them for your kids? What type of software do you use, or from where did you get it? Does it work?

well i do not actually use parental control over here but sometimes i get scared that my juniopr ones could be viewing adult contents i am looking for ways to actually use them so that my mind can be at rest..

I dont use parental controls for my kids and never have and in all honesty I doubt I ever would really simply because i have taught them what is and isnt acceptable and they know better than to cross me on it ya know...HOWEVER now that my son is a teen and they do have their own computer and internet access my husband got a spytype program that gives us full access to whatever/wherever the kids have been on their computer..other than that though its not really needed here..
