When and where do you buy your magazines/idea books? Just last year I started my first subscription. I really had to convince myself to do this. But my son's school had a book order that would help the school so I ordered CK magazine. I love it! I think that it's super. I think i'm going to try out a Canadian book next time around. Friends have also handed me down magazines and that's always fun also.

Currently I have a subscription to Memory Makers but I haven't renewed it. I am going to get a subscription to Simple Scrapbooks and PaperCrafter because these are the ones I find myself buying over and over. You can really save a lot of money on a purchasing by subscription. My best friend and I talked and decided that she will get a subscription to two different mags and then we can switch and have all the basis covered LOL!

It's always great to have someone to share the costs with. Perfect idea! I like Simple Scrapbooks also and they're pretty cheap also! Bonus! ;)

I usually look at the copies they have at the libray and if an issue looks good, I go get it from the store. I got a lot of my books from crafter's choice book clubs. CK is the magazine that I consider the best. They feature a lot of layouts and even their advertizers often have neat ideas.

Oh that's a great idea. If I had a big liabrary here I would most definately do that. Saves big for sure!

Our shopping stores don't normally carry them. But when I go to big centers I do see them at the isle.

My Mom gave me a subscription to Lasting Moments from Creative Memories last year. I really enjoyed their magazine. They have a lot of great tips and ideas. It costs $30 for 6 issues. I really like their ideas because they are usually quite easy to follow and if you want to do a page exactly as shown, you know exactly where to get the supplies.

I've also subscribed for CK magazine, too bad I wasn't able to renew it this year. It was a smart move for you to subscribe to CK, every page of that magazine is worth reading. I also like Memory Makers, Scrapbook Answers and Simple Scrapbooks. I just don't have the budget right now to make subscriptions but once I do get enough funds, I'll subscribe to CK again, and probably Memory Makers. I also buy magazines from regular magazine stands and book sales.

Online Auction places like E-bay are a great place to find scrapbooking items of ANY kind! I have used it for paper , magazines , books, stickers, and so many other things. What type of scrapbooking do you do? Just regular pictures or cards ect?

Most of the magazines have an online feature. It sure saves on the clutter to not have magazines floating around. I was getting Memory Makers and Simple Scrapbooks and I've only kept the Simple Scrapbooks going. CK was beyond my scope of time I can put into a page. Also, have you checked into your cable company to see if they offer DIY and their scrapbook show? It is a lot of fun and they have great ideas in all areas.
