I would like to see what our members think about religion and Christianity or any other belief systems for that matter. I have seen a large number of people that spout off about it but don't really know what they are talking about. So please make this clear for me and others.

I believe in spirituality. I am by birth a brahmin, hindu. But as I pondered over the religious texts, both Hindu, Bible, Quoran, and many more, I found out that the interpretations have been twisted to benefit the "religious communities" rather than the spiritual benefit. The priests are trying to gain something to the church, or temple or whatever. They want keep their believers safe from others teachings. But the religion has never told this. This is the priests who are doing it.

that is my problem with religion, it changes to suite the population and times. I remember not too long ago it would been considered to be very sinful to go to a restraunt on a Sunday but now even the ministers have bowed to this. Constant compromise.

In chistianity the difference is God search men to save them, but in religion men search God to fulfill their soul hunger.

Christianity is the religion where people who we call christians follow the teachings and principles of Jesus Christ. They follow what is written in Holy Bible and always believe that Jesus christ was crusified for their sins and will come again to world to save the people who followed his commandments
