Do you like to dress up your dog/s?

I was just wondering if anyone liked to dress up their dog in little clothes. I see all kinds of people doing it especially the stars. I used to put sweaters on my little rat terrier but she didn't like it too well. I have made some of the cutest clothes for my little one. Just wondering if anyone else did this.

My daschund LOVES to be dressed up. Now, we don't just dress her up any time. If it's cold outside, she is always wearing a little jacket or sweater. She even has a little.. what do you call it... shoulder throw? I'm not sure. Anyway, she loves it. If it's cold outside and you pick up her sweater, she jumps up on you and then sits up (she sits up on her butt with her little legs hanging) and lets you put her sweater on. I have never seen another dog that likes it, but she loves it. I guess it just makes her warm, so she doesn't mind.

My terrier mix loves being dressed up too! She will go find one of her sweaters and bring it to us for us to put it on her.

I can't imagine anyone of my dogs in an outfit! Besides they are too big. I think they would feel humiliated! We have taken pictures with them in sunglasses and a bandana or maybe a cowboy hat, but that is the extent of it.

I have always thought that it is very unkind to dress up a dog. It does not seem natural to the dog and would be a very uncomfortable thing for it, so the whole idea seems rather cruel. I also find it in bad taste, and have very little time for the celebtrities that treat their pets in this way.

When I had a small dog, a shih-tzu, I never dressed him up. He didn't seem too interested in the clothes. He didn't even like to have a blanket put over him. I had thought of a sweater a couple of times when I'd gotten his hair all cut and then we got a cold snap. Our current dog is a collie and I can't picture putting clothes on her. Maybe a bandana but that's about it.

I have a terrier mix that rarely goes outside during the winter without a sweater on. She is always cold and sleeps under the covers with us at night. She just loves to be covered up. She brings us sweaters when we have taken one off of her to wash it. She gets so excited when she finds one laying around. I think it would be much meaner of us to let her go out without one than to put her in one. People say it's not natural to have her wear one, but when it's 20 below outside and the windchill is even colder, I think she definitely needs one since she is small and cold. However, we have a lab mix, too, and since she is usually warm enough all on her own, we don't put a sweater on her. She hates them.

No I don't. I have three chihuahuas the prefect breed for idiots like Paris Hilton to use as a fashion accessory. If it's really cold I try to put a sweater on them but I'm not always successful. Dogs should also be allowed to keep their dignity and pride.

I used to dress up a small dog I had when I was a kid. I'd use my doll clothes and he would look so cute. Now that I'm older I feel rather sorry for the poor dog, he had enough insecurities due to his small size. ;) Some dogs really do need some sort of protection from the elements, though. For example, hairless dogs should wear some kind of a coat when the weather gets cold.

If i had a dog i would not dress him up, one of the things that seperates us humans from the animals is the fact that they do not wear clothes like we do.
