I have been wondering if democracy has really achieved its acclaimed goal. All over the world, we have leaders who have misused the authority given to them by the masses to subjugate their percieved enemies, even in a democratic setting. In this wise, can democracy still be defined as the rule of the people, for the people and by the people, why some leaders can pocket other arms of the government in the name of party loyalty, with disregard to the feelings of those who voted them into power? I will rather submit that each form of government supplies what is lacking in the other and not one form can claim it far better than the others.
