I've had pets for a major part of my life. My favouritses have been dogs. Recently a person told me she'd seen my dog with others on a street around the corpse of another dog. Due to a miscommunication.. I thought it was mine.. It's all cleared up now.. but for 24hrs I went through hell worrying about him. I'd already lost one really loved dog some time ago. She'd been my life ... in a way. When I found her all stiff, being a kid.. I thought she was stiff from the previous night's sleep. I was really broken after that. Have any of you people ever lost a pet... how did you cope with it? What condition did it leave you in? please feel free to share your views.

I have had dogs all my life, and it's always hard when they die. Recently, I've had my pets cremated. I have all these little urns in my china cabinet. I don't know quite what to do with them, but, it makes me feel better that I had it done. I'm very worried about my one dog. She is 13 years old, so, it's just a matter of time before she leaves us. I can't imagine how I'm going to feel. As bad as it feels to lose them, I can't imagine not having the dogs in my life.

I've more or less had dogs all my life too and each time one leaves you.. it's like a part of your heart is torn. Still... it has to be as a dog's life is only 1/5th of that as a huma's. I hope that your dog has the happiest moments of her life with you guys and hope that her departure from this world is painless.
