My Diet Tips

Just though I would share a few small changes I made which have made a big difference. Even if there not all for you just one of them can make a change. -swap junk food snacks for fruit, might sound boring but fruits like berries are delicious -make your portions sizes sligthly smaller each time you eat a meal, you'd be suprised about how much excess food you eat and how less can still fill you up -if you use sugar swap it for sweetners- I saved 200 calories a day this way -instead of eating lunch and dinner have 1 big meal at around 4pm -eat a filling breakfast- this will stop you snacking -do 30 mins excercise every other day if you don't usually excercise then build it up -don't go on strict or fad diets- you'll never be able to keep them up -aim for slow steady weight loss- about 2 pounds a week, this is healthy and maintainable Hope this helps :)

I think you gave some great tips! If you don't mind, I think I will add a couple of my own. - give yourself one day that you can have a treat! If I have done good all week long, then Sunday I allow myself a little sugar or something special. I don't gourge myself, but one day with a little treat makes it easier to tolerate the week! - find a low calorie treat (100 calorie packs have some great snacks.) and allow yourself to indulge during the week. - drink a full glass of water before a meal. It helps to fill you up so that you won't be tempted to overeat! Those are just a few of the tips that I use for myself. They seem to be helping!

Once again, it’s all about calories. You can eat three times a day or six times a day, as long as you have the same caloric intake. However, you should have at least three meals a day. That structures your daily eating, so don’t become too hungry. And if you eat six times a day, you won’t be having six full meals.

All good advice. Though as someone who has always been able to eat whatever I wanted without putting weight on, not really relevant to me :)
