Bush is a hero and the War on Terror is the best thing to ever happen to America

It is a simple choice: Would you rather have our troops facing off against the enemy overseas, or in your own back yard? Yes, the war in Iraq costs money, but it will end up being an excellent long-term investment for not only America, but that troubled part of the planet. Yes, our soldiers die, but 3,000 in four years? We lost 6,000 Marines in a single battle for Iwo Jima during World War II. The U.S. has lost millions in wars. More than 650,000 men lost their lives during the American Civil War in four years' time -- and that was when the entire population was only 35 million in both the U.S. and the Confederacy combined. And we must have a strong military presence in the Middle East at present. Iran is dangerous and growing. Afghanistan is yet to be quelled. Do we want more 9/11s? We will get them if we retreat now. At present, we can strike Iran immediately if we need to, if they get nuclear weapons and threaten Israel and the rest of the world. And, really, do we want to be forced into converting to Islam? Do you really want that? Well, if we shirk from our duty in Iraq we will be capitulating in just that fashion. Better brush up on your Arabic and Farsi. Yes, we are in precisely the military position we need to be right now, with our best firepower on the doorstep of our most severe enemies. President Bush will be regaled as one of the great heroes of the early 21st century, more significant than even Washington nand Lincoln. Remember, both Washington and Lincoln were very, very unpopular when they were still alive. Not so now. The same will happen with Bush's legacy.
