This resource for audio control compares to top-of-the-line software that costs nearly $400.00... http://audacity.sourceforge.net NO! There is no affiliate program and this is not an affiliate link. This post is made in response to the growing number of struggling musicians on MyLot and elsewhere online. It's tough enough to try and fulfill your dreams without spending money that don't have... But never give up, there are resources out there for you to use, and people like me who are willing to find them and tell you about it... So please take advantage of my resourcefulness and create something wonderful... I'd just love to hear it! :)

I'll second Peaceful's recommendation of this software. I'm not that much of a musician myself (I do play guitar, but only some basic chords, and I haven't picked up my guitar in years *laugh*) but I have used Audacity, and I can attest to the fact that it is the best piece of free software for audio manipulation that I've ever come across! You can do just about anything with it, and it's totally freeware, and it has features that some paid programs probably don't even have! ^_^

Thank you for sharing your excellent comment about your personal experience with this great software... Sadly, I was relieved of all of my musical instruments and recording equipment by thieves, but not before I produced and recorded some 62 songs! :) I'm getting back in the "groove" slowly and the resources that I will need (and share) are starting to pop-up! :)

Oh Peaceful, I'm so sorry to hear about your instruments being stolen! I'm glad that you're rebuilding now and getting yourself back into the groove. I would love to hear some of your music one day!!
