Whats your favorite Facial Scrub or Exfoliant?

I'm always on the search for a new face scrub. However, I don't like ones with ultra-scrubby or harsh exfoliating bits. I have tried Origins (which I like), Lush (which I don't), Aveda, Alba botanicals, Burt's Bees, The Body Shop, Benefit and Estee Lauder. I just like trying all different kinds until I find which one works for me. So far my favorite is the Origins one. What do you look for in a scrub? I like mine to have small and rounded scrubby bits so they don't irritate my skin. I also like them to be in a creamy base but not too creamy. Haha, I guess I'm picky with my face scrubs!

Make your own :D Salt is a great scrub for oily skin, mixed with a DILUTED essential oil [you must dilute your essential oil though] Oatmeal is great for dry skin. Sensitive skin take care, I used aqueous cream [water based] with a little salt because my skin is oily, but you could find a nice alternative. http://www.pioneerthinking.com/chfacials.html Also saves you heaps of money.

Face scrub and exfoliant are the same thing. Some are harsher than others thats all. Its better to get a gentle 1 as harsh 1s can cause soreness and redness. I would recommend ones by Avon and Clean & Clear. I also like a creamy base but not too creamy haha.

actually there are exfoliants that are not face scrubs...so technically they are not always the same thing. Alot of brands put out serums or lotions that have chemical exfoliants, such as Aveda which has a chemical exfoliant toner. That is why I asked if anyone has a favorite scrub or exfoliant.

I use the fruit apricot by the St.Ives brand. Or for acne I sometimes use the blackhead clearing scrub by clean and clear. I've tried others but they were too rough and ending up making my skin all flushed looking.

Other than Lush exfoliants, I also like Burt's Bees orange scrub. They come in those little facial kits, and it seems to work really nicely- especially in conjunction with their orange-based cleanser and clay mask. I should say, however, that it is not cream based.

I really like Ocean Salt by the company Lush, though it can be a little harsh on my sensitive skin so i don't use it too often. I also like the Burt's Bees Citrus one, it smells nice and isn't harsh at all, so perfect for sensitive skins! There's the St Ives Apricot Scrub, which is really lovely, a gorgeous smells and perfect consistency of scrub. The one i used the most is one from Boots (the chemist) which is their own brand, with tea tree & witch hazel, i don't think it's my fave but i use the rest of the range so use this product too. Probably my faveourite one is the St Ives one.
