OMG.. I love West Side Story. I've seen iton TV, locally done as a play and done in other cities as a play. Oddly enough, my favorite version is still the movie/tv version I saw when I was a kid. I grew up thinking Tony was the sweetest man around... oh if I could only be Maria! LOL My kids got to see it for the first time ever about 3 months ago. They're not into "musicals" at all but all 3 commented it was better than they thought it would be.

What a love story, huh? Words can't even explain the music. A classic for sure! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. +

What are you talking about? I can't understand what this post is about. I try to answer all my friends' discussion. But this thing I don't have a clue what this is about. Are you talking about the celebrity fans? Tony, Maria, are all of them your Television stars?

I love West Side Story. It is one of the best musicals ever made.It is timeless. The music is so beautiful. The dancing is great. And the theme is still current. It is rare that film made in the 60's can hold up now.

A fan here. The film is groundbreaking. Even in modern times the dancing is beautiful and complex. But the love story is executed with some usual shallowness. But Natalie Wood's and Richard Beymer's performance (even dubs couldn't hid it) made it bearable.
