I've replied to so many discussion about reading and books by telling y'all about the series by Diana Gabaldon. These are just fantastic books. I can't remember when I've had characters touch me like hers do. Her books are well written and well researched. I cry with the character and laugh with the characters. I've reread the entire series I don't know how many times since I discovered them. The books are Outlander, Dragonfly in Amber, Voyager, Drums of Autumn, The Fiery Cross, and A Breathe of Snow & Ashes (the only one I don't own yet - at least until my first mylot payday.. then hello ebay here I come!) Go with Claire as she passed through a circle of standing stones (like stonehenge) and finds herself 200 years in the past in Scotland. Meet the Frasers and the Mackenzies and many other wonderful people. Watch the battle between England and Scotland as it begins. Join Claire and Jamie as they start their life together.

Wow, those really do sound interesting. I'll have to write down that name for my next visit to the library on Thursday. I am a big fan of the Earth's Children series by Jean M Auel, and these sound like they might have a similar feel to them. Thank you for mentioning these!

I'm really glad you replied to this! I never did remember to check out this series, and now that I start a week off after tomorrow, I have them on my 'to do ' list! I forgot all about this discussion until I got the reply notification!
