I would love to hear everyone's experiences. I was almost ripped off and the stupid part of it was, I know better. I got this email that was claiming to be my bank and asked for a bunch of information. It seemed so legit. I mean they had the banks logo and everything. So I started filling it all out with all the info and then I sent it. As I did that I thought what have I done and how stupid am I. I went over to the bank immediately and talked with the manager. I told him I know better but I did it anyways. Not sure why. He said you will never be emailed from a bank asking you to verify information and if you are its a scam. Man have I ever learned my lesson. We had to change my accounts, bank card, all of it. Please tell me I'm not the only stupid one out there???

I never give any information over the phone....I watch the news alot and from the news and hearing people being scammed I refuse to do it, no matter how much they it's legit.
I just don't trust many people that call my home requesting information. I normally ask them to send me the information in the mail. If they can't do it then that's telling me something not right...
I got a scam once over the internet, like AOL. saying they needed my password again. I called AOL and they told me they had never send anything out to me...
It's really crazy what people will do to try to scam others...very sad, but what can you do, but be extra careful

One night I was going to buy something online about 2 years ago. It said I could use my bank account but when it came up it wasn't the typical online banking. It asked all your banking information. I almost filled it in but I didn't. Call my telephone banking and they said it was a scam and not to do it.
