i remember when i was still studying we used encyclopedia for references. until now the two sets of encyclopedia which my parents bought are still intact. though they're obsolete. the merit encyclopedia was 70's edition while the britannica was 60's edition. now our technology has gone hi-tech. encarta is in & what is nice is that encarta has for toddlers.

I can't remember what edition our encyclopedia was. It is Comptons Encyclopedia, 70's or 80's not so sure. We had 2 sets, one is for adult and one set for children. Children's edition has 16 volumes and I read it all when I was in grade school. Really, there's Encarta for toddlers? Maybe I must have one for I have a 3-year-old son. Thanks for the great info.

I've never had reached the financial level by which owning an encyclopedia became a probability. As a student long ago, I've always frequented school libraries in order to get hold of it. I love to read the encyclopedia as it offers such a variety of valuable information on practically everything there is on earth known to man.
