Public Affection on Public Transit

I was on a public bus and this straight couple was being way publicly affectionate, kissing and making out, sitting out on each other's lap and what not. I was like get a room. And it's not because they were straight, if they were gay or bi I would say they they same thing. What do you all think of public affection? I think it's a little extreme at times.
