I don't get why everybody just loves the movie Eragon and says the book is boring. Okay maybe the first 10 pages are but NOT THE WHOLE THING!!! I mean personally I think the book is great and I don't like it when people say that it is boring because news flash it does have discribed fighting scenes, hiding from soilders and a lot of stuff like that. You have to agree with me it's not boring.

I have the book but haven't started reading it yet, I'm trying to finish another one first. I find books are always more detailed and expect this one would be really good. I am intrigued to start reading it now.....

If you have any liking towards living out fantasies then Eragon is one of the best books to read( Apart from Harry Potter of course). This has all the elements of a perfect Epic. Romance, Struggle,Magic . And above all the twists in the story is very good. I have read both " The Inheritance" and " Eldest" and am waiting eagerly for the 3rd book.

I dont think the book is boring at all, I also liked the movie even though there were a few things I wish they hadn't changed (and I really didn't like Arya, she didn't even look like she was supposed to be an elf) Now I'm just waiting for the last book to come out... And to see if they make Eldest into a movie as well, although I dont know how well that would work

Yeah I hope they put Eldest into a movie. I like the book Eragon and Eldest and I hope The Inheratince Trilogy is good also.

I have never read the book or seen the movie but I guess it just depends on the person.....I love to read,I read more than I watch movies and prefer the books.....a while ago,I read the book The Stand by Stephen King andd thought it was amazing and his best work, until I seen the movie....the book was 5000+ pages and the movie was 8 hours long but it was awesome compared to the book.....then I have read other books that I loved and found the movie ruined it so,I guess it just depends on the writer of the book, the director of the movie and the person themselves

I agree the book was much better than the movie. in the movie they left out parts like Saphira growing up. An since when reading imagination plays a p[art i imagined the Urgals being more fearsome and ugly; more brute-like. Sort of like Orcs form LOTR. Happy Posting and Post Away! =D

The problem is the first few pages. My friends after reading the initial pages were completely put-off.Despite my requests, they have not resumed it.I actually feel sorry for them. The book is simply terrific. I agree with u that the movie is crap, they have ruined everything.I am as puzzled as you how people liked the movie better- maybe because they did not read the book!!!!

I don't get why every body says the book is bad. (Oh and please don't curse if you write back to me again)
