The Rock n' Roll Band, SANCTION!!!!

I met Kris, by complete accident 4 months ago, from the UK. He is the singer, and coordinator for the group SANCTION which includes himself and 4 other band members. They want to tour here in the USA, however, I am a little concerned about copyright infringement laws, on names! you see, 3 months after SANCTION UK formed their name, a group in the US SANCTION also formed theirs as well! It gets stranger...... They both play rock, and are as equally popular! strange, isn't it? I contacted the band in Ca for comment, to which of course, they had none.
