There are parents who love to curse their own children. Specially when they are wayward and rebelious. I have seen children suffer because parents cursed them.

i think its same as a fight or flee response :) i havent experienced being cursed but my aunt claimed she was cursed by some "witch" when she was young because the witch got pissed off with her having to defend herself when the witch's child bullied her. from what i see, not giving up to rise from the fall is a step to break a curse. as ive mentioned earlier, curses are subliminal, they seep in deep into your subconscious. you have to be stronger in order to fight it and believe you can take control over it :)

I don't really believe in curses. For me they're just words and have no power whatsoever. Words can hurt you only if you let them, meaning if you take them to heart. If your parents curse you then let it pass through the other ear. Don't take them seriously. Chances are they only said that in the heat of the moment and don't really mean them. I seriously doubt there is a good parent out there who would wish harm on their child.

curses can run through your head and create subliminal mental damage that can make you misserable for the rest of your life. words are more powerful than physical abuse. especially if someone "curses" you a lot, you may ignore it as often as you like, but in most cases, if your will is too weak, chances are the "curse" will affect you. i think its a mind over matter thing. you decide whether to get over it, or drown and rot in it.

A curse or hex or whatever you want to call it can only ever have any effect on someone who truly believes they can be harmed. However, I am a believer in karma and what goes around comes around

I believe in these phenomenas...curse, miracle, blessings. I know of parents cursing their children out of anger. some parents make it a habit. And in extreme cases it might be voluntary also. I know of people cursing each other during failed relationships, betrayal, unfaithfulness, and so on. It might be a way to calm themselves of all the pain and anger they feel. But, it can really effect the life of the cursed one. I have been hurt and betrayed in life by some most trusted and loved ones but I don't end up cursing them because I feel it will do something bad to them and bring misfortunes in their lives.

It is sad to see parents having negative emotions towards their children. When discipline becomes a burden, the child becomes difficult and disobedient. The devil enters the soul when parents curse their child. The children becomes violent and wayward.
