how to heal a broken heart?

That is a very hard situation for your friend. Some things happens and we can't control it. It is normal for your friend to have a very sad moment of her life. I think it would last for long because their companionship is already long. With the help and support of her family and friends I know someday she can cope with the situation. Invite her to go somewhere where she could relax a little and laugh. And pray for fast healing of her broken heart. Someday in the proper time we know that she can accept the situation.

I'm so sorry for your friend. I don't believe there is anything we can do to heal a broken heart, I think this is something only time alone can do. My mom's boyfriend passed away seven years ago and I believe she still grieves for him. It's very sad to hear stories like this I think the best thing you can do is simply be there for your friend and let him know you will always be there for him.
