what is wrong with mylot?

well, There are millons MAYBE of discussion being started right now. lets say you are just one of 15,000 people here on mylot who just made a discussion. WE can't respond to a gazillion discussions at one time. Just wait maybe, sometime someone might respond. Good Luck at that.

I know what you mean. I had the same problem when I was starting out. It's more of the number of friends you have here. If you have only sevral and the person who made the same topic as you have, have a lot of friends its more likely that he would get more responses.

This can happen all the time and did apply to all other users as well. Whenever someone start a new discussions it will appear in the first page on general discussion page and thats the best chance for other users to get to know any new topics there. In most of the cases users may only tab on those discussions which they can found in the first page. In order to get more responses for your entire discussions you need to either keep it active by keep on comments back on whatever responses you get or you may ask some of your friends to participates on your new discussions.

I have all sorts of methods for finding discussions I am interested in. I go through my interestes, my freinds, popular discussions for the day ... and, when I'm done all that, I go to 'discussions with no responses'. So, there are lots of different reasons people do and don't respond. I don't think it is anything wrong with mylot.
