Referrals - Would you refer someone to a site you really had no clue if it worked or not?

I have been here for a month and in that time I have seen several referral links to supposed paying sites. I have started to wonder of these people that post these links, if they have really stayed there long enough to receive the first payout before posting their link all across the web? Do they not care if they are bringing a bunch of people to what could be a big scam? Do they think of the consequences of such actions? If ever I sign up to a "paying site" I thoroughly check it over and wait until I get a payout before I start spreading my link around to have people sign up under me. True doing things in this fashion takes a bit longer to get that first payout. But as many others have stated you'll have proof that the site you are referring people to is the real deal. Not to mention your reputation will be higher and people will be more trusting of what you tell them. Which brings me to the question, do these people who automatically post their referral link after just joining a "pay site", really care about their reputation?

I'm a few days old here and was amazed with all the links posted here. I'm not sure if they're doing it just for the sake of fun or making issues or just ignorantly thinking they were into a safe site and trying to help others. No matter what, it is better for us to doubly checked on those links before making our decision.

I do agree with you on that. There are so many sites out there that are ready to scam everyone, and it makes it a pain to wade through all the scams to get to the legit sites. That's why I do my homework before hand, before bringing a crowd of people to which ever site I have joined up with. I wish it to be a good experience for every person I bring to a pay site, and don't just put my reputation on the line just in a spur of the moment thing or bragging rights for the most referrals.

I will be sure to check it out more thoroughly when I have the chance and not so tired. I did see a couple that I think will be interesting to join up to.
