Does it bother you when people cut in line in front of you?

It does bother me. I do my best to respect people in line before me and i find it really rude that people think they're so special they don't have to wait, just get in front of everyone else. A few weeks ago I was waiting for the bus to go home. There was nobody else waiting , I was the first person in line. As time passed a few people came to the line behind me. I finally saw the bus coming at the same time as I saw this woman walking towards the line. As I was walking towards the door she cut in front of me and even hit me with her umbrella in her hurry to get in front of everyone else. As she went in, she glared at me with such a victory expression that I wondered if this was this person's best achievement of the day. It did bother me though. Does it bother you?

It really depends on how I am feeling that day. There are times when I will allow someone to go in front of me but there are times when I will tell them that I was there before them and that it was not appreciated. If they do not respond, then I will call them rude but not make it a huge problem.I just want them to know how I feel about what they did and leave it at that(unless they wish to continue with the discussion).

Yes, you're bringing a good point. Sometimes our mood can influence how we feel about that behavior or how we respond to it. What strikes me as odd, is how many of these people feel they are entitled to do it and even respond as if we're the ones that are wrong sometimes.

i think such people should be made to realize that they are being rude. many times it is possible by a few quiet but stern words of disapproval, but several times it may boil down to heated words as well. even though i don't like exchanging heated words with anyone in public, i think it is necessary for us to let people know that they cannot just get away with the belief that they were victorious. they should be made to realize that they were rude, and not victorious!

I do tend to say something as a rule, but I avoid getting in an argument if the person seems inclined to do so. That would be giving this person more attention that she deserves.

yep it bothers me too. i cant' stand it. they can wait in line just like everyone else. i will look at them and say excuse me i was in line there. the line is at the back now. i would've glared back at her and told her to go to the back because i was the one in line first.

It bothers me a lot. I have this thing happend to me a lot of times and I think it rude too. Especially if I have waited a long time and someone who just came in would cu the line. They should learn wait in line too.

Exactly. What makes them think they're so special that they don't need to go in line like everyone else? I can understand that some older people can't wait in line for too long, and I usually let them go in front of me, but that's because I choose to do so, not because I have to.

That's really an irritating experience. I wouldn't like that to happen to me because I would definitely get angry. It bothers me a lot that we try to line up like well-brought up individuals, only to be encountering something like that in our midst. Anyway, it could be an achievement for that person because I'm sure that that is the only achievement she had ever had in her life, and will ever have because she will definitely meet her match one of these days.

It sure is irritating. It's interesting that we are evolving in so many things and in others... well.. just the opposite?
