Does GOD hide from his creations?

I happened to be watching this movie, I think it was 'Spy Kids II' or something. It was this dialog by that mad scientist that caught my attention. The dialog went something like this."Does GOD hide from his creations because he is afraid of what he has created?" something like that. I think that was a real interesting thought actually. What do you think?
