If I were a Horse

If I were a man-horse, I would run with all the world's animal beauty inside of me.
I would find a fast, lady-horse.. and trot gently by her side and hope that she smiles and snorts.
We would find a horse-herd, and together run through dry fields and cool meadows.
We would drink mountain water among yellow and purple wildflowers... and even sometimes let humans ride our horse-backs, dazzling them with our smooth, swift speed!
Our manes would lick the wind, our necks would twist and shake side to side, up and down.
Our horse-muscles would shimmer, appear and dissappear under our skin with each galloping stride, with each plunge of a hoof...like sunlight glistening off a fast but quiet stream.
The stars would certainly fall more gently all across the western skies.
You and me,
our horse-hearts would beat,
our horse-breath would melt the morning frost,
Pianos would play in empty saloons,
Women would sing in their usual, beautiful way,
strong and clear and loud.
There would be no cementaries,
no barb-wire fences,
nothing of significance
Just a man-horse
Just a lady-horse

Gee cliff, it's wonderful. And I like horses too. I adore their magnificent stance and their glistening muscles. You are a romantic soul cliff. Nice prose for St. Valentine's day.

What a wonderful imagination you have .. !
I can almost hear the soft whickering by those tranquil waters, visualise those soft velvety noses gently touching in sensual togetherness .. and smell the lushness of the sun dappled pastures the man-horse and lady-horse meander through ..
Thanks .. what a wonderful start to my morning .. :o)

Thanks, patootie, that is my Valentines Day poem... a kind of dream love poem.
(Somehow I think I made that next guy below angry)
