Why do you think guys are scared of commitment?

We already know that for a guy, the thought of spending the rest of their lives with one girl makes them feel like their freedom of bringing other girls into the bedroom has ended but what else do you think sparks this fear of commitment?

I have had to ask myself that same question with my boyfriend. Although we have been together for 6 years, he has decided that we won't be married for another 4 years. This coincides with his 30th year. I think he's not scared of commitment, but scared of loosing his youth. So maybe men aren't scared of commitment, but just see it as something they do when they are 'older'. Unfortunately, that age creeps up on them and they have to admit defeat: they're just not young anymore (cue violin in the background).
