I learned riding a bicycle at the age of 5. Any memorable experience? As for me the worst thing that happened to me was ending up in a drain near my house. But it's all worth the pain.. :-)

I was at my friends 10th birthday party, i'm the same age. He had a new bike he shared with me and it took me about an hour to learn. I was so excited and there were no scratches on the bike, just me! Take care Hh9905.

I learned bycycle at the age of 8, at that time i didn't have mine, so i used my friend's bike to do the experiment, i many a times rode his bycyle and he always try to escape whenever he sees me, so i got angry one day and asked my father to buy me one, otherwise i won't eat anymore, so after one or two days my father bought me a cycle and it was the most memorable moment of my life, it was red in color and shining, i was on the cloud nine at that time, those were the moments of my life which i would never, never forget.

That's quite a determination that you've shown your dad. Oh by the way, maybe while learning to cycle, you've done something to your friend's bicycle, maybe that's why he ran away from you.

I remember when i first learned how to ride a bike. I was five years old, and my parents lived on the navy base in Virgina Beach, Virgina. I have very few memories of living in Virgina, because i went to live with my grandparents sometime after i learned to ride a bike. I do remember that christmas after i moved in with my grandparents. Santa brought me my very own bike. It was alot bigger than me. And the first time i rode it, i was going down the drive way towards the backyard, and i had to make a sharp turn. All i remember after that was me laying in a big bush...lol.

Oh trust me, it's better that it was a bush rather than a big drain..! Anyway, it's nice to think back of those memories ya..

Oh boy, I'm so ashame to tell you that I never learn how to ride a bicycle. Am I the only person in the whole universe who doesn't know how to ride a bicycle? I hope not.:( I actually tried to practice riding when I was about 7 or 8 years old but I always end up bumping or falling from my bike. Most of my scars in the legs are due to the falls I got when practicing how to bike. Since I felt that I'm not going to learn, I quit learning how to do it. Until now, I'm just contented riding at the back of someone who knows how to ride a bicycle. It's also enjoyable! (",)

It's okay. Many people do not know how to ride a bicycle too. It's nothing to be shameful. Anyway, at least you've tried. The experience is the most valuable.

I dont remember when i first learned how to ride one, but i do remember the first fall i had. I went over the handle bars and skinned my shin on the pavement and i had lil rocks under my skin and my mom cried lol. My little brother has NEVER learned to ride a bike and he's 20.

You must have hurt badly. My mom did not cry nor lecture me. I guessed she knew that's part of learning - survival course. hahaha. Anyway, i pity your brother since he didn't get the chance to have these valualble experience and skill.

i dont remember when i learnt riding it, but i do remember when my parents got me a new cycle (a proper one.. not those little kids stuff), it was a memorable ride since the very first day, the very first ride i lost my balance on the road because of a pothole and crashed badly, i bruised myself, was bleeding everywhere, my trousers were torn, and my brand new cycle wasnt new anymore.. lol.. its handle got badly twisted, the mudguard was broken, and it had a cool mirror on it, that too couldnt survive!! so that was my first time!! :)

I actualy learned to ride my bike later than most people do, I was probably about 8 or 9 when I learned to ride my bike My most memorable experience would probably have to be when I was bikng to a friends place and was going down a steep hill alng a hiking path and I hit a log from a tree that had blown over earlier and fell head over heels, tangled up i my bike all the way down the hill, I hurt so much I ended up walking the rest of the way until I got off the hiking path and onto the road, I didnt break anything but it left some memorable scars

I was a slow learner. I learned at 11. I had a friend pushing the bike behind me and holding on. Or so I thought. I was halfway down the street and she yells out to me that I was riding . I turned to look at her and as I did I ran right into a bush. But I did learn to ride that day.
