we recently won back the record with 6,124 kissing couples. what's your comment on it?is it really that important to win back the record? i have nothing against it but i think there are more of the pinoys than just kisses.

Just a product gimmick, doesn't reflect anything about "romance" in the Philippines! I mean, kissing in public is still a taboo in our conservative society. If we really want to be known as one them passionately romantic countries then let's accept public kissing! I CALL FOR MY GENERATION TO PROMISE TO TOLERATE PDA ON THEIR CHILDREN WHEN WE BECOME PARENTS!!!! Hwahahaha!

I think it's cool that we won back the record and I fully support any program that would promote the Philippines to the world. :)

I have nothing against it but I dont care about it either. We have more important things to do than that.

Well, I don't think there's something WRONG with having the record for the most kissing couples, I just think that there are more important things we should try to be known for. Of course, this is a product gimmik, but still. Wouldn't it be great to be known for a great government or educational system rather than kissing couples and being the texting capital of the world? :)

I agree. I, too, have nothing against Lovapalooza but it would be better if we Filipinos that were deemed to be demonstrative in the name of love should manifest the very essence of "love". We cannot simply make kisses synonymous with love nor romance with love. The sum total of our love is shown on what our country is today. It seems that we were all eager to show the world how great our love is for our "significant other" only during Valentines Day and that should be the challenge for us Filipinos during this month of love. Gaining back the world record would only be secondary. But I'm still hopeful despite the social injustices and the misconceptions on love.
