Did you become the person you wanted to be when you were a kid?

As a kid, I'm sure everyone has been asked, "What do you want to be when you grouw up?" at least once. Common answers have to be: doctors and teachers. I wanted to be a cashier and press the keys and put the bills in their respective slots, hahahaha! Or a writer because I loved reading books as a kid as well. So, when you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? And have you grown up to be that person or did you pursue something entirely different? On my part, I still haven't become a cashier. But I'd like to think that by pursuing a degree in English Literature that somehow I'm slowly making my way to becoming a writer or having a career related to books or print media. :)

No. I did not become the person i have always dreamt of. Ive always wated to be a doctor or a surgeon, turns out i am kinda afraid of blood and other fields, i find boring. i tried psychology for a while,it didnt last though.. Right now, im taking up radiological technology.. It is pretty fun.

I'm terrified of blood as well, I cringe and look away even when I'm just watching shows on TV! Haha. Wow, radiological technology sounds really hard, but interesting. What exactly is it about?

i get to be an xray, mri or ct scan technician once i graduate. sounds boring, i know but its not though. (at least for me) i get to work in a hospital and see less blood.

As I child I always dreamed of driving a train! I had a fascination in trains, I was always drawing pretend train maps and loved my train set! But sadly it never happened. I went into office work, then working on the telephones. Now I've trained for a new career working with children. I also wanted to have my own home and live alone, hopefully that may happen one day, once I have the finance.

I'm a mom! Growing up I had all sorts of different career ideas, but overall I really always wanted a family, and now I have that!

I remember reciting in front of kindergarten class saying: "When I grow up, I want to be A engineer." I turned out to be a copy writer slash struggling musician. Weird, huh?
