according to me lara is the best batsman in the world.. because he is the only player have done the world record for two times... g.sobers said tat only a westindian leftarm bastman can break my record.. lara done it for two times.......... so he is the best bastman.. sachin also good batsman... but in some kind position he may not able to play at tat situation... ponting also one of best batsman but when compared to lara ... he is not so...

Ricky Ponting is the man for sure. He has taken his team to the ultimate point. Sachin....well he is a good player but after he recovered from his injury, he could not get success at that rate. Once lost, he went down in the rankings also. In one of his interviews this time, he said that he can't play like he used to. He said that he gets tired very soon. The enthusiasm factor is still there in him but his body is not with him is what he said. Lara.....a great batsman for West Indies. Used to be a thorn for all the bowlers, but now it seems to be over. But Ponting being consistent, never looked back. Now nothing can put him back. He is the best.

I think in my opinion it is Ponting.He is good as a leader,very good filder and a consistent in batting and no injury problems until now.

I think Ponting is the best player because the way he has lifted his game and his team is really incredible and he has played some match winning knocks whereas Sachin and Lara are yesteryear heroes and they have not improved their game.

Brain Lara is the best of all these when it comes to batting however considering the alround abilities Sachin is the best he is great batsman added to this he is a very good bowler.
