It rained in mumbai today...i missed work.........

Mumbai was greeted with early and unexpected rain showers today....not that mumbai isnt new to rain, monsoon or rainy season is very heavy and lasts for about four months, june to september, but these showers in february were totally unexpected, i was on my bike going for work and it suddenly started raining....i was totally drenched...i rushed back to to the hostel and changed clothes and waited for rain to go....about an hour later the rain dtopped and i went out again...but then suddenly when i was on the freeway the rain started again, and i was drenched again.....i was totally frustrated and called up my senior to tell that i wasnt coming...he said it was ok...so i spent the whole day watching the rain and movies on my laptop...took a nap too...well not that bad but then when tis happend unexpectedly you tend to get upset, also i had to wash my clothes as they wee all dirty as the rain drops left the mud from air on my clothes....hazards of [polluted air.....but it did one good thing, it cooled the air and my bike got washed automatically......so i was spared the washing money.....ha ha...any one who ever experienced such incident any day?....anyone from mumbai here????

It sounds as if you tried really hard to get to work! I hope you enjoyed the rest of the day relaxing after that adventure! There are days here where we get so much snow and the snow is blowing around so bad that it is impossible to drive to work, but that doesn't happen too often. Even when it rains hard here in the summertime it has never caused problems driving to work, but I wouldn't want to be riding a bike!
