There are WAY more than 65 guys. Think harder. There are squares of four, squares of nine. Squares that overlap, etc. etc. I have done this problem one time before in a leadership class of some sort, but I don't feel like going through it today. LOL. I can assure you that the answer is more than 65 though.

I think the answer is 204, 64+49+36+25+16+9+4+1=204. There are 64 fields on it what means 64 squares ,when you take 4 fields and the squares that overlap you got 49 squares,9 fields means 36 squares etc.... When you put 1 $cent on field 1,2$cent on field 2,4 $cent on field 3 and always double on the next fields just to field 64 ,you are the richest man in the world. Bill gates could only reach on field 43 when you believe the forbes magazine of richest man in the world.

I could be wrong but I think the correct answer is 204. There are 64 fields in a chessplay and that means 64 squares, the bord is 1 square of 8 on 8 fields. There are 4 squares from 7 on 7 fields with al the overlapping squares. There are 9 squares from 6 on 6 , 16 squares from 5 on 5, 25 squares 4 on 4 , 36 squares 3 on 3, 49 squares 2 on 2. 1+4+9+16+25+36+49+64=204. When I'm wrong would you please tell me where I made my mistake?

Hmm...let me give it a try. 8 squares in one side times another 8 in the other side equals 64 plus the board itself equals 65. 65 all in all.(",)
