I definitely love online banking. No more writing checks and mailing them off. I can make a payment and it is there in a couple of days. They say it is actually safer than writing a check. Less people see the transaction then when you write a check. How do you do your banking?????

In Spain there are other billing methods that are way more popular than getting online and paying. The most common one is to simply have the bills directly charged on your account monthly, so that you don't have to worry about anything. Other people get the bill on their mail, and they go with it to the bank office to pay it. I suppose that online banking will get more developed in the next few years here, but nowadays it's not the most use way to pay at all.

We do our all banking activities online. But we can't pay our appartment rent online. For that we have to write check and mail them in traditional way. We don't like to do pay by check, but no option for this. Specially my husband like all online activities, as it is easy and time saving.

We do all of our banking online. So glad you started this thread b/c I forgot I need to order checks. We used the last one yesterday. Those checks have lasted us almost 2 years. lol We don't write them for anything other than car payments. I love online banking. I don't have to worry about money getting lost in the mail or not getting there on time.

the only bills I pay online are my online expenses for my business. Any household expenses get paid through the phone. My wife is pretty pleased that she can just sit in the kitchen and pay all our bills and still be using the phone at the same time.

That's good for you my dear. But as for me, I never got the nerve to pay bills online cuz its difficult to apply my bills first on the banking internet before I could actually pay them online tru my banking internet account. Right now, am still using the old method by going to the bank and pay the necessary bill. Hard, tiring but its worth it for a while since my country is still in the rise of improving its banking technology. But I do love the idea of paying bills online. I really do.

Oh everything I pay is online nowadays - you don't have to even go out your door anymore! So much safer than writing a cheque or even going to a post office with a wallet full of cash! It's great and couldn't do without it!

I really LOVE being able to pay most of my bills online. I've even sent messages to several places that don't have their sites set up to accept payments online and told them "to get with it". I did ask one department store why they weren't set up to accept payment online; and they told me it was because when people come in to pay, they usually buy more at that time. Paying online is so easy to do. I set the payment date when the bill comes in, and it's automatically done and never late. Nothing gets lost in the mail any more. I'm even after my mortgage company to update their site to accept more money each month, not just the usual mortgage payment. As it is now, I do have to mail them a check if I want to pay more than the set payment. They keep saying they're "working on it", but it's been 2 years now that I've been mailing an extra check each month. I guess they really don't want you to pay off your mortgage early. My husband's paycheck is automatically deposited into our bank account every two weeks, and so is my Social Security check. The only time I have to go to the bank is to deposit my own paycheck (which is once a month). I check out my balance every other day, just to make sure what's come through and that nothing has been taken out that shouldn't have been taken out.

I do all of my banking online or by electronic transfers automatically from my checking account. You're right, it is much safer. The payments are always on time and you don't have to spend money on postage. I used to have a bad habit of writing out the checks and forgetting to put the bills in the mail, so I would end up with late charges anyways. Online banking makes things so much easier.

I pretty much do all our banking online now. It's especially great for paying bills. I can't remember how many times I've set the bill aside and forgot to send a check, now I just set payment up as soon as it arrives...just so much easier.

I do a bit of both. I pay a lot online, but I also pay a few in person, and one or two over the phone. I think I only have one that I actually mail out in check form. It definately makes things handy if you remember at the last minute something is due and you dont want to get back out to pay it. I just always make sure it is a secure website before I make my payments.

I used to let the bills pile up for the month until they were all in and then pay them all at once at the bank. But I've now set everything up on the computer and pay everything on line. This is so much better, especially in the winter; now I don't have to make that necessary trip if it's nasty out, as it quite often is in our Canadian winter. It seemed I would be there on a Friday too often, which is generally a busy day at the bank and I always felt that I was holding up the works, with the teller having to process half a dozen bill payments for me. I'm finding this a much more convenient method of bill paying.

I also love online banking. No more not making it to the post office and getting charged a late fee because the mail did not arrive on time. There is so much that can happen to your mail from the time that you send it out to the time it arrives at it's destination. If I forgot that I had a bill due tomorrow I can just jump online and pay it right away, and nowdays the have the automatic pay. This is even better because I don't have to remember when all of my bills are due they are just taken directly out of my bank account.

I love online banking. I have every bill I can automatically debited from my banking account. Then for the ones that don't have that option I try MyCheckfree.com. I can set up multiple bills as long as they are associated with mycheckfree. It is free and I just love it. For the ones that don't fit into either of those categories, I see if they offer it at their website and then pay that way. Finally for the ones that don't fit into any of the above categories, which is actually just my sewer and mortage bills, I drive down an pay them. The sewer place and the bank are both within 2 miles of my house. I don't want to have to pay in order to pay my bills and right now my bank only offers bill pay if you pay monthly for it. Once they offer it for free I will do all of my bill paying with my bank.

I never pay online.. I prefer the old way of going to the post office and standing in a line.. Paying online is more comfortable but you can never be sure that the site is safe from hackers.. So I prefer to keep my money and details safe..

I do most of my banking online. It is very much convenient. Although it is safe to pay bills online, I still use checks to pay for some bills and still go to the bank. Old habits die hard.
