Have you had "Swimmers Ear"?

I was wondering, have any body in the lot ever had a sickness called Swimmers Ear, well long story.
When we were building a pool at our house the water was full of dirty objects floating around making the water a very light green, but i was too tempted not to swim on those hot days.
So i swam in this dirty, junky water without any ear-plugs to block the dirt, it came back to bite me back in the butt.
I started feeling blocked in my ears, not being able to hear anyone, feeling a scrathcing sensation.
I looked it up on a health website and it popped up all kinds of weird long medical terms.
Now i swim with ear plugs but i was wondering:
Have any of you ever had swimmers ear?

My daugheter had it a couple of years ago. It was during the summer and she was in the pool a lot taking swimming lessons. Like you, we had no idea what it could be. We just thought it was a plain old ear infection. She still swims a lot but doesn't wear the plugs.
