Okay, lets say that you were given $50,000 to start your life somewhere else. Where do you live now? Where would you move to? Why did you pick the state / city that you did? I moved from NJ to WA almost 3 years ago. I moved because WA is cleaner and cheaper. It was one of the best things I've ever done. The Pacific Northwest is a great place to raise kids. However, if I was single and childless, I probably would have moved to NYC instead. Where would you go?

Hi there! Glad you moved to WA, although keep the somewhat good weather (in summer) a secret will ya? We don't need more people here. Just kidding. If I had lots of money, I would move to Montana. Western MT isn't bad. Eastern is somewhat more desolate. I live in WA state also, and I was born here. I have lived in Iowa (no way again) and FL (too many bugs) and Germany. Germany was a lot like WA as far as the weather goes.

I can understand wanting to move out of NJ. That's where my family all is, and I was SHOCKED when I saw the house prices in my part of Virginia. I like the east coast though, I would probably stay here, in Virginia or maybe North Carolina. If I was single, definately DC. I love DC.
