How do you tell a child that he is gonna be a big brother.

I've noticed that first born children becime jelous when they become a big brother/sister. How do we explain to them that they should not get jealous?

When my wife and I told my sons that he was going to be a brother we asked him about having a brother before we tried to have another and he seemed fine with it and once it was confirmed that my wife was pregnat we told him and he was very excited for the both of us.

Congratulations on your new baby. I'm guessing that your baby is now 2 years old. My reply is very late already because I stopped using MyLot for 2 years and I'm trying yo be more active now. I guess if you make that child feel that he is still important even though there's a new family member coming, it will be alright.
