Would you buy a home from an owner, and not use a real estate agent?

I have bought three homes in my life, and sold two of them through real estate agents. The last one I bought from a friend and all we did was use a title office to make sure all the paperwork was in order. It worked out fine and we didn't have to shell out thousands of dollars to an agent. Would you buy a house from an owner?

Yes, I would buy a home through an owner. Instaed of a real estate if I could. You were right in doing so. You do save alot of money. But beware if you don't know what you are looking for. You can get screwed in the end as well.

Yes, I heartily agree. We did have an attorney go over the paperwork too, just to make sure we covered all the bases. I think that as people get more savvy about how real estate transactions work, and just what paperwork needs to be done, more and more of them will by-pass the agents.

im would be a bit wary as there are so many con artists around..i think yes i would get a laywer involved...but the EXPERTISE OF THE ESTATE AGENTS ALSO PAYS OFF.
