Which one do you prefer? and why? I've only purchased a few books from overstock.com and I received my books within a couple of days. I receive emails from smartbargains.com but have never purchased from them. Are they any good?

I prefer overstock.com. I have found more items on there to buy. Also, their shipping is pretty quick and I've had good luck so far with everything. Smartbargains.com seems a little more disorganized to me.

Yeah I agree with you. Overstock.com's shipping was quick and i was 100% satisfied with the purchase. As for smartbargains.com, I have trouble finding my way around their website.

I have never seen smartbargains.com, I will have to check that out sometime, because overstock does not always offer great prices, nor all the stuff that I am looking for. I wish I could give you an opinion about them, but I could not. I will have to check this discussion later, to see what others have to say.

I have ordered from both. I think the main difference is, Smartbargains items are from a variety of distributors and shipped form different stores. Overstock, I think, comes directly from their own warehouse. I LOVE Overstock, epsceially because their shipping rates are so cheap, even for furniture. I purcahased a beautiful leather ottoman and had a shipped for $1.95. I did get good deals at Smartbargains too, but if I remember correctly the items came from differnt places, in different shipments.

I've never tried Smart Bargains, but it sounds like it might save me a lot of money. Thanks for the link. I will have to check it out. As for Overstock.com, they always have good prices on DVDs and such. And, that's good, because currently, I've had the same DVD of Monster's Inc, out of my Netflix queue and I'm aching to return it. I'm pretty sure that I could simply buy it from a place like Overstock for ten or fifteen dollars, and free up my other dvds for movie watching fun! Best of luck with your shopping. Find some good deals.

I still haven't tried Smart Bargains either but have Overstock.com. I have purchased a few Jodi Piccoult books from them and have yet to buy anything else. I've noticed though that many neighbours in my apartment block shop at Overstock.com, so it must be very popular! Thanks againg for replying :)
