Contradictory reactions regarding Mohammad Kaif not taken in the world cup team.

Did the Allahabad residents made it right to burn effigies of BCCI members and Chappell when Mohammad Kaif is not taken in the world cup team ... bcoz they only painted coal tar on Kaif's house when he once failed..isnt this a contradictory reaction?
