try this recipe of pancakes its very good and simple, hope you like it:) 1 pint flour, 6 eggs, 1 saltspoonful salt, 1 teaspoon baking-powder, and milk to make a thin batter. Add the baking-powder to the flour, beat the whites and yolks of eggs separately; add the yolks, salt, 2 cups milk, then the whites and the flour alternately with milk, until the batter is of right consistency. Run 1 teaspoon shortening over the bottom of a hot frying-pan, pour in a large ladleful of batter, and fry quickly. Roll pancake up like a sheet of paper, lay upon a hot dish, put in more shortening, and fry another pancake. Keep hot over boiling water. Send 1/2 dozen to table at a time. Serve with sauce, jelly, or preserves.

I found some: Low-Cholesterol Pancakes INGREDIENTS * 1 cup all-purpose flour * 3 tablespoons sugar * 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder * 1/2 teaspoon baking soda * 1 cup buttermilk * 1/4 cup vegetable oil * 1 teaspoon vanilla extract * 3 egg whites DIRECTIONS 1. In a bowl, combine the first four ingredients. In another bowl, combine buttermilk, oil and vanilla; add to dry ingredients. In a mixing bowl, beat egg whites until soft peaks form; fold into batter. Pour batter by 1/4 cupfuls onto a hot griddle coated with nonstick cooking spray. Turn when bubbles form on top of pancakes. Cook until second side is lightly browned. ============================================================== Maple Pancakes INGREDIENTS * 1 cup all-purpose flour * 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder * 1/2 teaspoon salt * 1 egg * 1 cup milk * 2 tablespoons vegetable oil * 1 tablespoon maple syrup DIRECTIONS 1. In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. In another bowl, combine egg, milk, oil and syrup; stir into dry ingredients just until blended. Pour batter by 1/4 cupfuls onto a lightly greased hot griddle; turn when bubbles form on top of pancakes. Cook until second side is golden brown (pancakes will be thin). =================================================================== Pecan-Oatmeal Pancakes INGREDIENTS * 1 1/2 cups quick-cooking oats * 1 cup all-purpose flour * 2 tablespoons brown sugar * 2 teaspoons baking powder * 1/4 teaspoon salt * 1 1/2 cups milk * 2 eggs, lightly beaten * 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted * 1/2 cup chopped pecans DIRECTIONS 1. In a bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, baking powder and salt. Combine milk, eggs and butter; stir into dry ingredients just until blended. Fold in pecans. Pour batter by 1/4 cupfuls onto a lightly greased hot griddle; turn when bubbles form on top of pancakes. Cook until second side is golden brown. ================================================================= Old-Fashioned Potato Pancakes INGREDIENTS * 3 cups shredded peeled potatoes * 2 eggs, lightly beaten * 1/4 cup grated onion * 1/4 cup all-purpose flour * 3 tablespoons minced fresh parsley * 1 teaspoon salt * 1 teaspoon pepper DIRECTIONS 1. Rinse potatoes in cold water; drain thoroughly. In a bowl, mix potatoes, eggs, onion, flour, parsley, salt and pepper. Pour batter by 1/3 cupfuls onto a greased hot griddle. Fry 5-6 minutes on each side or until potatoes are tender and pancakes are golden brown. Happy cooking!!!!!!!!!

Ingredients: 1 cup plain flour, 1 cup milk, 1 teaspoon butter of margarine, salt to taste. Directions: Blend all the ingredients. Heat a medium size frying pan and pour about 3 to 4 spoons of batter. Hold the frying pan and turn it in a way all the batter covers the pan. Fry one side and then turn the pancake to fry the other side. Use with any filling.

Go to the store, buy Aunt Jemama or Bisquick pancake mix. Mix according to the directions. Prepare according to the directions and WALAA perfect pancakes every time!!! :-) Seriously though, I have had pancakes prepared from scratch, made with corn meal and also flour, both of them was terrible. You may do a search on the internet, I am sure you may be able to find plenty of recipes for all kinds of pancakes. Best of luck and happy cooking!

Hundreds of them! I could really boost my MyLot rating posting pancake recipes. Another poster here has given the basic recipe, but you can vary the quantities to get anything from a thin French Crepe, to a thick American "meal in a pan" There are also potato pancakes of various types and Russian sour cream pancakes.

Personally, I prefer thin, French-style crepes. They're also super easy to make. Take some flour, 2 eggs, a little bit of vanilla extract, a tablespoon of sugar and milk. Add however much milk to make a thin batter. Take a nonstick frying pan and place a little less than a cup of the batter in the pan. Spin the pan around until the bottom is fully coated with a thin layer of batter. Once you see bubbles and the top looks like it's beginning to solidify, cautiously flip it over and brown on the other side. Serve with powdered sugar, nutella, fruit, or whatever else you have handy. They're also good with ham and cheese or other savory fillings.
