Why do people on TV lose weight and then dye their hair blond?

Have you ever noticed on the commericals for diet pills that after women lose a bunch of weight their "after" picture shows them with blond hair? Why can't they just keep their original hair color? What does the different hair color have to do with losing weight?

If you look close you will typically notice something else. They have also tanned. It's all about looks. And it looks like more has changed if they change their hair color and get a tan. If you look at guys, typically they will have dropped a lot of weight, tanned, cut their hair clean and then either shaved or waxed the hair off most of their body. It's all for the sake of marketing the product and making it look like there was a lot more change.

I guess what they're really saying is that fat, pale, brunettes are ugly! It's a shame really.

Maybe they are trying to show the stereo type that blondes have more fun. Then they would be implying the skinny people have more fun. WHICH...I would completely disagree with because if you have to watch your weight and what you eat...you can't have more fun because you can't go and grab that cotton candy or caramel apple at the fair. You can't gorge on pizza at the all you can eat pizza and game place. You can't have that piece of cake and ice cream at the 6th birthday party this year. LOL So, I don't think skinny people have more fun. I think we are more deprived! LOL and don't worry...there is NO WAY I am going blonde. But I am also not on TV. And the blonde streaks do not count because I dye them purple. LOL

Once the dust has settled over the fact that they have lost weight, they seek other ways to be noticed. Drastic measures such as changing hair color or a hair style brings swift attention to them once again.

I believe they do that because tey want some chagne in themselves since they lost weith, they try to change everything just to look as a new person and to move on in their lives and leave the past behind.

LOL Yes this is true. I hate those commercials anyway. I dont know what is up with that but most of the younger stars are blond too. you know the saying "blonds have more fun". LOL I am not a blond. I have no desire to become a blond either.

So you can be a typical bimbo!!! I'm sorry, I seriously don't like blonde hair... I've heard that there are more people who dyed their hair blonde than real blondes in the whole world. I find that to be terribly sad. I do dye my hair form time to time, but I'm too proud to be a brunette!! But really, I think it's just a stereotypical point of view. You're thin and blonde so you're sexy. It's a commercial trick so that people will want to look like these girls. It's also another trick to get you to buy TWO products instead of only the dieting pills.

I think half the time the after picture is a different person altogether
