Zoloft versus the generic Sertraline-Have you tried both and how did you react?

Before Zoloft became generic it worked great for my depression, but it has a high deductible on my health insurance. I recently tried the generic, much less expensive, but felt so many side affects for too long and I went back to the Zoloft. Have any of you had this experience with this drug or another? I found out the hard way sometimes generic is not exactly the same as the brand name.
