I think its gross, but I know some people that let their animals lick out of their dishes. I will throw away my dishes if a animal touches them. What do you think?

I don't do it, but it's no big deal if it happens, I just wash the plate.

My animal's mouths are cleaner than my mouth. I don't see any big deal with it, personally. But I'm fully aware of all the germs in the mouths of my animals, and I know they're perfectly harmless to me.

My cats lick my bol after I eat ice cream and my spoon when i eat yoyourt. You are washing them after anyway. So I don't see any problem with it :)

lol, it depends on what animal it is. I have a kitty named Garfield and I share my food with him all the time. But if a dog ate out of my food I would probably throw the dish away as well. So I can handle it if it's a cat but if it's anything else, I think it's disgusting.

I have no problem with my dog/cat eating from my dish as long as it's cleaned after like you would with a persons dish. If your kids got all dirty will you make them eat from a dog dish, I think not, if the animals are well kept there shouldn't be a problem. Plus a friend of mine that's studding to be a vet said that in his studies he found out that a dogs mouth has less germs then a humans this is due to them having more anti-bacterias. He never used to let dogs lick his face as he thought it was gross, and after his studies his more open to animals and doesn't mind so much if it licks him in the face. There's kids that sometimes get to a stage that they'll put anything in their mouthes, will you think they are less worthy of a plate? If you wash your dishes properly then there's just nothing to be afraid of.

I think that is pretty gross, too. I love my dog, but she eats from her own dish!

We treat our dog like a person. She sleeps on the couch, bed wherever she wants. We let our dog lick our dishes sometimes. My sis-in-law also thinks it is disgusting. Ever since we had our baby the dog is my hubby's best friend when I have the baby.
