33 year old Sickle Cell disease patient

My nephew is addicted to his pain medication and has overdosed several times even though we monitor his meds and hide them when we leave for work he has found them several times and taken as many as 63 powerful pain pills in a 3 day period, he also does not eat anything but junk food even though we have a IHSS worker that cooks for him. I'm hoping to find a controlled environment where his meds are under lock and key and will be given to him, not left, for him to take and also where he will be forced to eat nutritious meals. It seems that all the board and care homes are for the elderly. I hope someone can guide me to a place where my nephew will be
safe from himself.

I also would suggest that you take his medication with you when you leave the house - leaving only the amount that he should take while you are gone. And I suggest that you keep all junk food out of the house. If he has nothing to eat but healthy food, he'll have to eventually break down and eat it.

It sounds like an addiction treatment centre, rather than a regular home/care facility is what is needed. He will receive the necessary treatment and care while there, and perhaps afterwards a suitable facility can be recommended that is along the lines of what you are thinking. I've spoken to his doctors about just what you have suggested and they say that because of his illness he cannot be treated for the addiction. That is why I would like to find a place where he can be given his meds on time and made to understand that he will not get his meds unless he eats. But a facility where there are only seniors will only add to his depression.

Hoide it somewhere your nephew may not expect it.Only keep medicines for the day only outside.

i can give u the link of some treatment..made by plants, they help a lot, and cost something. don't know for sure if they r in yr country but give it a try, they helped me after a car accident when i wasn't eatting anything and took a lot of painkillers so... u'll find out more there, if u really wanna try they r supliments but have vitamins and curative effects also www.foreverliving.com just go see around there. thous eproducts helped a lot maybe can help u also
