how long do mini chihuahuas live?

I couldn't find anything on mini chihuahuas, but I imagine their life expectancy might be less than that of a standard chihuahua, which is about 15 years.
They do tend to have various health problems, as most purebreds do. Research is the key to success!

I didn't know how long the life expectancy was for a chihuhua. I hope she doesn't have to go through another 7 or 8 years of this agony..I've contemplated putting her to sleep, but I just can't do it. She's my baby, fleas and all.

I'm sorry to hear about your dog. :-( I would probably be taking the dog to another vet to see if there were any other meds that would help better.
My MIL's neighbor has a chihuahua, but she's never mentioned whether the dog has those problems.
