Some of you have read my earlier disscussion on whether to take an online Traffic school class or to go to Traffic School) I was the reckless driver doing 49 MPH in a 35 MPH zone on a back road here close to home, hardly a danger to society! but radar doesn't lie I guess, and he was certainly not impressed with the fact that I had never had a ticket before in 40 yrs of driving! but anyway... here is my opinion on "Online Traffic School" I THINK NOT !!! Good Lord my eyes are still strained from all the reading. And YES you have to read every single line. It was 17 chapters, a quiz after each section (4). Intermingled in each section were 1-3 security questions that were totally NON related to DMV laws or issues. It would be something like "Jim bowled 291 last week" ! Great.! SO then you finish a section, take the quiz and lo-and-behold there's a couple of secuity questions in there,... and you must get 80% right on the driving and 100% right on the security questions. So you proceed to complete all four (4) sections, take all 4 quizes, when you've passed all for sections you then pay for the course and take the final exam. You can mail in a check or Money Order or pay online with a credit card. THe course I chose was $19.95, PLUS of course the overnight delivery dee for my exam certificate that was an additional $24.95 !!. Once you get all paid and confirmed they send you via adobe acrobat the final exam. You print that out and you take that and the Notary instructons and take them to a Notary, verify your Identity and take the exam, have them Notarize it, bring it back, fax it to the school for them to grade. They notify you pass or fail in 24 hours or less, and if you paid for expedited service as I did then you get an email in a few hours. I wait now until tomorrow when my certificate of completion somes and then I get to take that and make out a check for the fine $146.00 (for doing that 49 MPH in the 35 MPH zone !! Oye)! and send that in to the court and hope that it makes it through their system without getting lost, and therefore not issuing a bench warrant for my arrest and case closed? WHEW what a day! HELL No I do't recommend it, I could have paid for and sat through a Comedy class all day and been done by now! Your choice..... just thought I would give to the skinny on it. Drive Safely.....

Oh gosh don't even worry I had been leaning that way anyway, like I just said above to Ally- it was just more than I expected it should be for such a minor offense... but I was in my jammies... and comfortable and able to take pee breaks and snack breaks LOL. Live and learn..... DRIVE Carefully now! LOL

Sounds excruciating!!! I hope you kept a copy in case it does get lost. I think I'll ease up on the accelerator just a wee bit.

Ally- it was ! I am telling ya I think that people convicted of felonies have a easier time of it! Good lord I was doing 49 MPH!!! not 149 LOL. But yes I sure did keep a copy.... I think I will hand walk it down to the courthouse myself since I go right by it everyone morning on the way to work. Yes ease up girl!!! be safe. I guess I shouldn't complain so much, It could be worse!. Just seems like so much effort for a such a minor offense. But in reality I guess someone that was speeding like at 90 miles per hour would get the same test huh? I wonder????
